𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝘅𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆

Post-pandemic depression, the great resignation, inflation, geopolitical tension – the list of invaders to our mental peace has never been longer. Combined with our hectic and always online life, it is now more important than ever to consciously disconnect from the world around us and connect with the inner self inside us. I call this “the moment of serenity”, strongly believing that “Serenity is the true source of life energy.”

The word serenity originates from the Latin word 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘶𝘴, meaning being clear (in our minds & thoughts) as well as calm (in our hearts, behaviors). How wonderful is that state?

Especially as leaders, we need to be in a state of serenity, at a place of inner bliss and stillness – only then can we help our people achieving their serene state and desired outcomes.

Gain serenity by getting your daily dose of stillness. Switch to stand-by mode and enjoy a thought-free moment in full presence and awareness for some minutes. Feel the life inside you.

As Albert Einstein puts it, “A calm and modest life brings more happiness than the pursuit of success combined with constant restlessness”.

In fact, life can be so easy once we stop trying so hard to complicate it. Here are some pointers:

🔅 Just be and let others be

🔅 Take yourself less serious and others more curious

🔅 See the good intentions in people and the lesson to be learnt in every situation

🔅 Thank “difficult” people for the opportunity to grow

🔅 Make serenity the true source of life energy

🔅 Choose mindful habits every day, such as

  • Visualize positive outcome
  • Pause and reflect
  • Focus
  • Forgive self and others
  • Be grateful

And whenever you feel irritation, remember Carl Jung’s words: “Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.”
